By the way, your video is responsible for my recent facination (obsession?) with the Skyline pen. I had never noticed what a great looking pen the Skyline is until I watched you restore one. Since then I have acquired about 10 of them of various types and sizes. Thanks!!!

First of all, the little red Sheaffer arrived today. Wow! The nib can do just what I hoped, which is strike through words in 12-point-font printouts of my essay drafts. It's very satisfying to be able to obliterate a word in one stroke of the pen. (I can also write passable gothic/black letter with it.) If you have occasion to grind down a broken nib like this again, you might try suggesting on your auction listing that the pen can be used as a highlighter with Noodler's Firefly or similar. A nib of this width would be perfect for that. This one writes slightly thicker than any boring yellow highlighter I've used in the last few years. As I understand it, people are having trouble finding off-the-shelf nibs wide enough to use for highlighting, so you might have a niche market there grinding otherwise useless nibs for this purpose. Anyway, thanks for this pen--I can already see it's going to get a lot of use.
